Sub Lingua, which is latin for “under” and “tongue” is where the word sublingual came from. It is an appropriate description to how sublingual b12 is absorbed by the user.

Lets very briefly look at the role that vitamin b12 plays in our bodies. It does three things for us that are invaluable. It is used during blood cell production and is needed for a healthy brain and nervous system. Vitamin b12 deficiency symptoms such as fatigue, insomnia and loss of appetite, your body may be lacking in b12. Make an appointment at your local clinic if you have a few of those symptoms.

As the name suggests, sublingual b12 is to be used via placement under the tongue. Absorption via the tongue has a number of distinct advantages over conventional forms. The b12 gets absorbed quicker, painlessly and most of it is absorbed (unlike normal tablets). Since the tongue is such an effective mechanism for absorption, many drug abusers opt for this method for their daily fix.

The area below our tongue is filled with capillaries, enabling the chemical to reach our blood stream with great speed. Which is another reason why we bleed profusely from the tongue if its cut. Since so much is absorbed, there is a possibility of an overdose with most chemicals. Thankfully, there is no evidence of any serious side effects even when taking large amounts of sublingual vitamin B12.

There’s a great selection of sublingual b12 on the market but it pays to stick with trusted brands such as twinlabs, vitabase, wonderlabs and heaven sent naturals. Sublingual b 12 is generally slightly to very much more expensive than regular tabs/capsules.

We get vitamin b12 from one of 5 methods. The 5 methods mentioned are getting it through eating (meat and diary), regular supplements, nasal sprays, sublingual b12 and finally, the ever painful vitamin b12 injection.

Vitamin B12 (Cobalamin) is an important vitamin that is required for normal function of our bodies. It performs 3 important functions, it is required during blood formation and it ensures our nervous system and our brains function normally.

While we can gain the vitamin naturally by consuming some types of foods, vitamin B12 shots are also a viable option. For quick delivery to the body, vitamin b12 shots are the best method. Unfortunately, there has been no evidence that points to vitamin b12 shots as being superior to pills or capsules.

In patients that are vitamin b12 deficient, physicians usually monthly vitamin b12 injections. The biggest problem lies in absorption of vitamin b12, which is slowly reduced as we age. Vitamin b12 injections take care of that problem admirably.

Vitamin b12 shots are almost always given to patients suffering from anemia. Anemic patients cannot produce enough red blood cells naturally. The Vitamin B12 shots are injected intramuscularly, which is, a direct injection into the patients muscles itself. While there are many types of vitamin b12 pills on the market, vitamin b12 shots are still the preferred form of delivery by a large number of doctors.

Vitamin b12 injections are sometimes administered to those suffering from depression or lethargy as this vitamin is known to have anti-stress properties. The vitamin can also be administered via a nasal spray, for patients that don’t like needles in particular and are unwilling to take vitamin b 12 shots.

Regular vitamin b12 shot may not exactly what you had in mind so always get sound medical advice from your trusted doctor before making a decision on the matter. Specifically, side effects should make up most of your questions to your doctor.

A crucial vitamin, vitamin b12 doesn’t just boost our immune system but is required for our bodies to function normally. It is a prime requirement in blood production and helps keep our nervous system working properly. Vitamin b12 deficiency symptoms may be experienced if you are not getting your daily intake.

Lets go through some common sources of vitamin b12. Beef, chicken, fish, eggs and diary products are all excellent sources of vitamin b12. To summarize, target diary based foods and meats for a good source of vitamin b12. If you aren’t getting enough of these then you’re probably experiencing some form of vitamin b12 deficiency symptoms.

Those most likely to exhibit vitamin b12 deficiency symptoms are vegetarians, for obvious reasons. Vitamin b12 is only found in animal based foods, never in plant life or even in fruits. Vegetarians will have to look to other sources for their daily vitamin b12 dose. Those that commonly show symptoms are older people due to our deteriorating ability to absorb vitamin b12 as we age.

Any vitamin b12 deficiency symptoms are a sign that you need to visit the doctor. Mental conditions such as depression, paranoia as well as insomnia, constant lethargy, tingling or a feeling of numbness on your hands or feet and heart palpitations are all symptoms.

While the vitamin b12 deficiency symptoms listed above cover most of the symptoms, there are more seriosu ones. Anemia represents a serious deficiency. Anemia is a condition whereby your body is unable to produce enough red blood cells. Sometimes emergency blood transfusions are needed. Anemia should never be taken lightly.

You have to see a doctor if you look through the symptom list and go ,”Yea, i have that”. If any vitamin b12 deficiency symptoms are found then you’d probably put on a specific diet as well as some supplements. A b12 shot is the quickest way to ensure the vitamin gets into our bloodstream. Nasal sprays may not be as effective as a vitamin b12 shot but they still do a pretty good job.
